May I please have help identifying this snake?

Okay. So, there's a snake I've seen. I don't remember too much about it. It has a broad triangular-shaped head, its scales were rough and not shiny, it was less than three fight long, and it had no pattern to speak of... it was a really dark-brown color. Almost black.
