Tenor Or Baritone when should i choose?

If you Ever head of Many Moons Ago From Once apon a mattress you may know what im taliking about, My Voice Is capible of Singing Tenor(In My opinion) yet i cant get the last high notes in the song Many Moons Ago, Based off that my "Teacher" told me that Im a Baritone when i audition for that very song. (First Audition To a musical and i sung a octve low because i was super nervous) Anyway, I can get most of the tenor notes Nicely, Then I have those notes which are WAY up there! Im Pretty much in Denial about Being Placed at Baritione, for one reason I Sing AT least 2 Octves Higher than the baritones/B( Cant help sing higher than B/ and Baritons). But when i Sing Tenor my pitch is as high as theirs yet i cant Hit the Last few Highnotes. ......... I dont know what to do, get emberssed when they call for the tenors to to hit their high notes or go to baritone and get emberressed cause i cant sing the rightnote because its too low. (In tenor I have some nice chords yet Baritione it drags and is depressing/Boring)
