Suggestion for Gift after Hysterectomy?

My, what a thoughtful person you are..that's really sweet. You'll probably get lots of suggestions. I don't know that a book on the subject would be such a good idea since it's so new and she may be just plain depressed and maybe feeling bad about herself and also in some pain. I think for myself I would appreciate a visit most of all with an offer of your services at any time. She may need some errands done that she can't do, or just a nice meal being brought in for her. A nice sweet friendship card with maybe a giftcard for a day at a spa or her favorite hair salon to pamper herself when she's feeling up to it would also be a welcome gift to me. Best wishes.
